Confrontational
The dictionary says that confront means to put forth reasons for or against,
to attempt
to prove by reasoning; maintain or contend, to give evidence of;
indicate, to persuade or influence (another) as by presenting
reasons, This method is similar to the Intellectual
Method, but is a bit more in your face. But even when discussing, debating
and illustrating the reason for homeschooling, we can do this in Love, allowing
the other person to have their own opinions.
This method may come up when you give a presentation to a
women's bible stud or other group setting. There may be a person who is so
passionate about their stance on why it's okay for them to have their children
in public school, having justified their choice, that you will need to know how
to use the confrontational style in love.
As with any disagreement, always stay with the facts, not using
personal language. You never know what situation the person has gone
through, where their faith walk is, or what wounds they carry in their hearts.
But do stick with your convictions, and logically explain why
you see homeschooling as the best choice for Christian children.
The books on the right have some great statistics and stories
about public school and their real adgenda.
