Single Parents Homeschool Bethel, ME April 19, 2007 — This coming weekend's HOME’s 17th annual convention has attracted a stellar group of homeschooling experts, including Dr. Bruce K Eagleson, a physician and president of the National Alliance of Home Education Leadership, a nationwide organization of state homeschool leaders; Kathi Kearney, M. A. Ed., Professional Associate with the Gifted Development Center in Denver, and the founder of the Hollingworth Center for the Highly Gifted; and Dr. John Kroger, M. D., the medical director of Swift River Health Care While attendees will have many workshops and resources to choose from, they should not overlook a prime resource in the Exhibit Hall. The national ministry Homeschooling Family to Family (HFTF) will have a booth hosted by Maggie Ray Hunt, a homeschool mom of 6 years who encourages other single parents in their efforts to home educate, while also serving as editor of the Heart of HOME, the Maine state homeschooling newsletter. MaggieRay, the HFTF Maine State Representative, will be offering advice and chocolate to all who stop by to chat. Other workshops at
the conference being held at the Summit Conference Center Sunday River
in Bethel, Maine April 20 and 21, 2007, include: Getting Started
in Homeschooling Is My Child Gifted?, Your Driver's License Made Easy,
Teenage Interactive Disorder, College at Home and a free Vision &
